Oakes Auto Group is seeking an experienced Certified Master Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who excels at advanced diagnostics, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys contributing to a high-performing shop environment. The Certified Master Technician serves as a technical resource within the service department while helping maintain manufacturer standards, shop productivity, and customer satisfaction. Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs using manufacturer-approved tools, equipment, and procedures
Diagnose and repair complex electrical, engine, transmission, drivability, steering, suspension, brake, HVAC, and related vehicle systems
Complete customer-pay, warranty, recall, and maintenance repairs while maintaining manufacturer and dealership quality standards
Accurately document repair procedures, diagnostic findings, and recommendations while communicating effectively with Service Advisors and leadership
Support technician development by assisting with advanced diagnostics, sharing technical knowledge, and contributing to an efficient shop environment
We are looking for a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a desire to continuously improve. The ideal candidate takes pride in solving complex vehicle concerns, works efficiently in a production-driven environment, and serves as a positive influence within the service department.
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Strong electrical and mechanical repair knowledge
High attention to detail and repair accuracy
Ability to work independently while supporting team success
Positive attitude and professional communication skills
Commitment to continuous learning and manufacturer training
Strong accountability, reliability, and work ethic
Desire to mentor and assist fellow technicians when needed
Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a standard background check
Strong reliability and consistent attendance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Current manufacturer Master Technician Certification
ASE Certifications preferred
Advanced diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair experience preferred
