Kids Ministry Assistant -Riverside

Position Summary: The Kids Ministry assistant works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry

team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids

Ministry program.

Required Experience & Knowledge

• Agree to ACC’s doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision Statement

• Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture


• Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills


• Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others


• A love and calling toward ministry to children and families


• Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment


• Proven ability to problem-solve and multitask


• Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and projects


• Self-motivated with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed


• Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another


• Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management


• Support all aspects of the kids ministry experience under the direction of the Kids Ministry Director


• Assist with administrative tasks, organizational tasks and meeting other needs of the ministry


• Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions


• Keep classroom inventory organized and well-stocked between services


• Assist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children’s area


• Copy and prepare curriculum for all campuses, both digital and print


• Assist in classrooms as needed


• Open and close all kids classrooms for every service


• Assist with campus-wide events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours


• Build positive, supportive, and professional relationships with families


• All other duties as assigned
