For over 75 years, the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro (BGCSL) has proudly served the San Leandro and San Lorenzo community as the primary provider of youth services. Our unwavering mission is to inspire youth—especially those who need us most—to achieve their full potential in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. We offer a wide range of programs to youth ages 4 to18 years old, including after-school programming, school break day camps, and summer camps. Position Overview:
The KinderClub Coordinator (KCC) oversees the daily operations of the Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten (TK/K) program (ages 4-6), focusing on delivering comprehensive, outcome-driven services. The KCC is a compassionate, kind, and caring leader who motivates and inspires Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) to perform at their best when working with children.
The KCC should have a deep respect and love for children, enabling them to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to ensure the highest quality of learning for children. This role requires creating a harmonious and satisfying working environment for the staff.
The ideal candidate will balance boldness and humility in supporting and leading the staff. Key responsibilities include the daily running and administration of TK/K, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring a high standard of care and education. Additionally, the KCC will partner with the Program Manager and Site Safety & Operations Coordinator (SSOC) to implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for children and staff.
