Reports to: Director of Kitchen Programs (DKP) 

Status: Full-time, hourly, Non-Exempt 

Job Level: 6 (Coordinator) 

Background 

The Foodlink Community Kitchen prepares and delivers thousands of meals and snacks daily to students, senior programs, and other settings across the region. This department plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and compliance with budgetary, administrative, and regulatory guidelines, supporting Foodlink’s mission to end hunger and build healthier communities. 

 

Summary 

The Kitchen Accounts Coordinator is responsible for managing all invoicing, accounts payable vouchers, grant-related financial tracking, and monthly audits for the Community Kitchen. This role ensures the accurate and timely billing of all meal programs, tracking expenses against budgetary forecasts, and maintaining compliance with grant specifications. The Kitchen Accounts Coordinator serves as a point of contact for financial inquiries related to kitchen operations. 

 Essential Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Manage all outgoing invoices for vended meals, senior meals, grant-funded meals, catering, and end-of-month accounts. 
  • Process accounts payable vouchers for food, program supplies, and other kitchen-related expenses. 
  • Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance with internal and external financial standards. 
  • Track and monitor against budgetary forecasts for kitchen operations. 
  • Coordinate grant-related financial tracking to ensure adherence to funding guidelines. 
  • Ensure all sites are billed on time and accurately, resolving discrepancies as needed. 

 

Salary and Benefits 

This is a full-time, year-round position paid on an hourly basis, ranging from $20.45-$25.69/hour, depending on experience (DOE). Foodlink covers 100% of individual health and dental insurance with the ability to acquire family coverage with pretax dollars. In addition to generous paid time off (PTO), we observe 14 paid holidays throughout the year. Opportunity to contribute to a 401k retirement savings plan upon hire. Eligible for generous employer match after 1 year of service.

Training and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. 
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, especially in a community-based or non-profit setting preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Knowledge of grant compliance and tracking preferred but not required. 
  • Must have access to reliable transportation. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, required.
