Kitchen Assistant

BASIC FUNCTION: Assists Food Service Coordinator with the daily functions of food preparation and service.

MAJOR DUTIES:

· Unpacks, sorts and stores foods.

· Assists Food Services Coordinator with the preparation of meals.

· Cleans and maintains kitchen and dining areas, washes dishes, pots and utensils.

· Serves meals to residents.

· Fills in for other kitchen staff who are on leave.

· Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

SCHEDULE: Full Time

RATE: $34,580 - $35,617 / year

LOCATION: NY, NY 10009

QUALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 months related experience. Thorough understanding sanitary food handling and preparation process.
