Kitchen Assistant

The Hunger Coalition is looking for a fulltime, temporary Kitchen Assistant to support our Community Kitchen programs.

POSITION DETAILS:
- Onsite at our facility in Bellevue

- Monday through Thursday, for 25 hours per week
- July 29 to August 21, 2026
- Salary is $28/hour

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Some experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of Spanish preferred.
- Works well with persons of varied sexual orientation, gender identity, racial, ethnic, cultural,
socioeconomic backgrounds, and with individuals who are differently-abled.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support preparation and delivery of 2 community meal each week and the preparation of lunches for our children's food program 2 times a week.
- Collaborate with other Kitchen Coordinator to plan meals, order and store ingredients.
- Follow all safety rules and compliance requirements in the kitchen.
- Ensure all volunteers follow necessary safety rules in the kitchen.
