Job Description - Kitchen Attendant

Augustine Angels is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Attendants to provide food service support and sanitation services at a federal military installation. This is a government-contracted position requiring strict adherence to cleanliness standards and procedures outlined by the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean all dining facility areas including floors, walls, doors, windows, equipment, garbage/trash areas, bathrooms, and hallways

Scrub, rinse, and sanitize kitchenware, utensils, trays, dishware, and equipment per military sanitation standards

Support food preparation staff as needed, including assisting during meal hours

Handle trash and food waste removal, ensuring proper sanitation and safety

Maintain equipment and workspaces in a sanitary and safe condition

Follow all federal and site-specific food safety, fire prevention, and hygiene protocols

Participate in mandatory training sessions, including food safety (ServSafe), sanitation, and fire safety

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior experience in food service, janitorial, or custodial work highly desirable

Ability to pass a background check and comply with base access requirements

Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods

Must be able to attend scheduled UTA weekends (typically 10 weekends per year)

Requirements:

Must wear contractor-issued uniforms and name badges

Must follow strict hygiene standards, including handwashing, no jewelry, trimmed facial hair, etc.

Must not have outstanding criminal records or disqualifying conditions per military regulations

Must complete pre-employment and ongoing training as required by contract

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
