Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation, maintenance
of quality standards, portion and cost control, sanitation, and cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, prepares, and serves, attractive and nutritious meals.
Responsible for adhering to the monthly budget.
Follows Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations.
Completes paperwork and billing.
Orders and tracks inventory.
Ensures food allergies and calories are tracked.
Sanitizes and cleans food service areas.
Creates a monthly menu.
Coordinates weekly lesson plan with Health Matters in mind.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education level.
18 years or older.
Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Blood Borne Pathogens, Medication Administration, Systematic Instruction Strategies, Abuse/Neglect, HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Positive Behavior training.
Must be able to obtain and maintain Class E driver’s License.
Must be able to obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification (if required).
Must be able to pass a 10-panel drug test.
Must pass a background check including criminal record and driving record.
Ability to perform each essential duty and responsibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred: Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; this may be more with certain types of work assignments.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
