JOB FUNCTION

• Reading and understanding bill of materials. 
• Work with our Purchasing team to ensure we are using stock material and making acceptable substitutions.  
• Performing cycle counts on all materials. 
• Scheduling outbound shipment.  
• Receiving of inbound raw materials.  
• Notification of short-shipped items to Purchasing.  
• Documentation of shipping logs and photos.  
• Operating a forklift. 
• Verifying proper procedures are being followed to maintain product specifications within our quality standards.  
• Informing management of labor needs and/or problems related to production. 
• Maintaining cross-team communication.  
• Complying with all OSHA and MOSH regulations.  
• Maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and disciplined work environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Letter Technician must have the ability to frequently lift items weighing between 10 and 50 lbs. Additionally, twelve-hour work shifts are necessary in this position in which you must stand, bend, or stoop without relief. The primary job duties required for this position are performed inside.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job team members are exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the environment is moderate to high. Frequent shop noise will be very loud and protective ear covers may be needed. The required PPE must be always worn while in the shop.

TRAVEL

Travel is not required for this position.

 SALARY

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

All prospective team members must pass a criminal background check and drug test. Candidates must also meet the requirements for an I-9, e-Verify.
