KO715 - Full-Time Housekeeper - Brooklyn Heights, NY

A warm, busy professional family in Brooklyn Heights is seeking an experienced, reliable, and proactive full-time Housekeeper to manage the daily upkeep and organization of a five-floor brownstone home.  The schedule is Monday–Friday approximately 9:00 AM – 6:30/7:00 PM with rare weekend flexibility appreciated. The family is open to one weekday with earlier departure for candidates personal reasons if needed. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you can not go up and down 5 flights of stairs. 

Daily household management and upkeep, including:

• Resetting and organizing the home each morning
• Emptying/loading dishwasher
• Making beds
• Tidying bedrooms and bathrooms
• Laundry and garment care
• Ironing men’s dress shirts (approximately 5/week)
• Ironing bed linens/sheets preferred
• Closet and drawer organization
• Managing children’s clothing and household organization systems
• Deep cleaning on a rotating schedule
• Maintaining the home to a high standard following a recent renovation
• Help pack for summer travel

• The ideal candidate is:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Experienced in high-end private homes
  • Self-directed and proactive
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet
  • Child-friendly and comfortable having children home after school
  • Willing to help supervise or keep an eye on children when needed
  • Comfortable accompanying a child in an Uber if requested
  • Team-oriented and willing to step in where needed alongside the family’s nanny

• MUST be ok on stairs- there is no elevator
• OK working with a hypoallergenic dog in the home
• The previous housekeeper was with family for 10 plus years, and they are looking for someone who can grow into a similarly valued role within the home.
• This is a long-term position for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully run household and enjoys working in a family-oriented environment. 

• Competitive compensation offered based on experience.
