PAY AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary minimum $25.700 per hour; adjustable for Kentucky law enforcement experience


• $850 annual clothing allowance


• $4562/year KLEFPF Fund


• 3 vacation weeks after 1-year probation


• 11 Paid holidays + 1 additional day for birthday


• 1 sick day per month (accumulated 120 days)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Citizen of the United States


• Meet qualifications in City of Ashland Ordinance #205, 2024


• Must be 21 years of age


• High school graduate or GED


• Valid driver’s license


• No prior felony


• Kentucky Law Enforcement Certification in good standing


• Graduation from a Kentucky Law Enforcement Council approved academy within the Commonwealth of Kentucky


• Retired Kentucky peace officers regaining employment with approval from County Employees Retirement System along with contractual requirements under KRS 95.022


• Non-retired officers agree to 3-year employment agreement
