We are the fastest growing Dermatology practice in the North East with 50+ locations thus far, throughout 4 New York City boroughs, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Aide to join our dynamic dermatopathology team. The Lab Aide supports daily laboratory operations, ensuring smooth workflow for technicians and pathologists while maintaining the highest standards in cleanliness, organization, and sample handling. This vacancy does require weekend flexibility and must be able to work between the hours of 09:00 am to 7:00 pm (start/end time may change depending on site).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, labeling, and organizing biopsy specimens.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including disinfection of surfaces and equipment.
• Support lab technicians in slide preparation and specimen routing.
• Prepare basic reagents and solutions under supervision.
• Log and track samples in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Handle general clerical tasks (e.g., filing, inventory tracking).
• Ensure compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience in a lab, clinical, or healthcare setting, scribing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical/lab software is a plus.
