This part-time (maximum of 29 hours per week), fully supervised internship role will assist the Lab Coordination Group (LCG) within the Bioanalytical department. This internship with LCG will provide guidance and instruction on laboratory operations and support, focusing upon ensuring that the laboratories are optimized for efficient scientific pursuits. In particular, the selected intern will assist with the compound inventory management project.

The Job

  • Assist with the compound inventory management project, including: inventory tracking, organization, updating, and archival of records, database entry, communication with management, and disposal.
  • Monitor and maintain general laboratory consumables via routine inventories
  • Monitor and maintain the GBA purchase log; ensure consistent communication with personnel regarding order status updates
  • Process incoming order requests; prepare and execute purchase orders, etc., for consumables, compounds, and blank matrices
  • Assist with the receipt of incoming matrix and compound shipments in accordance with SOPs: includes product inspection, GLP documentation, written and verbal communication, and applicable storage of materials
  • Process test article certificates of analysis, which includes datasheet and notebook updates, good documentation, scanning and filing, quality control review, etc.
  • Assist with facility renovation and reorganization
  • The incumbent intern may be responsible for other duties as needed.

Work Location

  • This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, with 1+ year of work experience or advanced study (Associates/Bachelors)
