Full Time | Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm

Qualifications

• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent with a valid current Michigan Driver’s License

  
  

Responsibilities

• Keeps the hospital vehicle in working order. Responsible for the basic cleaning and checking fluids. Alerting the supervisor if something is wrong with the car


• Fills all physician supply orders and delivers supplies in a prompt manner


• Delivers all specimens to the lab while maintaining specimen integrity. Notifies staff of STAT specimens


• Promotes customer service and handles problems effectively that arise at the physician office


• Responds to physicians’ offices needs by delivering correspondence and picking up STATs when needed


• Completes all assigned tasks when needed


• Available for emergency situations that arise that a courier is needed to transport specimens if an instrument is down to another testing facility


• Documentation and recording specimens obtained at each office


• Maintains favorable attendance. Reports absences in accordance with the Employee Handbook in the manner prescribed by the Department Manager


• Recognizes job relationships and functions effectively within the organizational structure


• Maintains professional growth and development through attendance at seminars, workshops, and other means to keep abreast of latest trends in the laboratory field


• Completes mandatory education and employee health screening on a timely basis


• Perform other duties as required or assigned
