Job Summary:

SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Lab Login Technician I in Houston, TX. The Lab Log-In Technician I must be team oriented, proactive and goal driven. This position is responsible for receiving oil and gas samples and the log-in (data entry) of the Chain of Custody and sample information into the LIMS system. Works under the general supervision of the Log-In Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness;
• Inspect samples to ensure sample matrix and integrity is not compromised;
• Ensure all samples are placed in proper storage area to await analysis;
• Assist with customer/client questions via phone and e-mail as needed;
• Clerical duties such as filing, faxing, scanning, mailing, etc. as needed;
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year data entry skills;
• Previous customer service experience required;
• Must be proficient in MS Office.

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours Monday-Friday in the Houston, TX Office. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
