Lab Technician III

Job Title: Lab Technician III

Duration: 6+ months contract

Location: Clark, NJ 07066

Payrate: $25/hr. on W2

Job Description:

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
• Assist in the formula development of skincare products including creams, lotions, serums, toners, and SPF products.
• Batch various formulation trials in the lab to evaluate texture, stability, and aesthetics.
• Set up and monitor product stability to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Check formula specifications (color, odor, appearance, viscosity, pH, microscope) to verify formula stability.
• Collaborate with support teams such as analytical, microbiology, and processing engineers to support formulation development and ensure product quality.
• Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously throughout the formulation process.

Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned tasks under close supervision, adhering to objectives and standards.
• Order raw materials, prepare lab batches, and maintain accurate lab notebook records.
• Perform and track stability tests for all formulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate any stability issues to chemists or managers.
• Interface with support groups for testing requests via internal IT systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science field
• 0–3 years of relevant experience
• Strong interest in the cosmetic industry
• Computer literacy and excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented, team player, and intellectually curious with a positive attitude
