Lab Technician - Qualified Phlebotomist

Lab Tech - Qualified Phlebotomist needed at a Mental Hospital in Austin.



 

Hours: 7am-1pm

Candidate must be available for 2 non-consecutive days of training, Day 1 and 6, from 8-5.  Additional training would be able to be accomplished during normal work schedule. 



Term: 

Minimum of 3 to 6 months with option to extend as long as there are no performance issues

Please note: Start date is determined by Chosen Candidate’s compliance with all clearance requirements



Department: Laboratory 



 

 We welcome all applicant profiles with the following requirements. 

• One (1) year of experience drawing blood preferred.


• Works with individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and/or physical disorders who are inpatient in their habilitation or rehabilitation efforts in the Mental Health Units.


• Will conduct themselves in accordance with the Rules and Regulations relating Lab Technicians in the State of Texas, abide with agency leave policy, abide with rules, regulations and policies of the Facility and performs other duties as assigned.

 License, Certification, or Registration required: (All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Facility)



​​​​​​​Clearance requirements include, but are not limited to, a Facility background check, immunization documentation and clearance, COVID test clearance and clearance of Facility training requirements which is held Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
