Job Title: Phlebotomist (Employed by LabCorp, Assigned to Manteo and Ocracoke Health Centers) 

Location:

• Manteo Community Health Center: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Ocracoke Health Center: Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview: Manteo Community Health Center and Ocracoke Health Center are excited to welcome a new Phlebotomist, who will be employed by LabCorp but assigned to serve patients directly at our clinics. Important Note: This position is hired through LabCorp, not directly through our health centers. However, the selected candidate will work on-site at our facilities in Manteo three days per week and Ocracoke two days per week. 

What You'll Do:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages
• Deliver excellent, compassionate service to patients and team members
• Accurately enter patient information and process billing when needed
• Prepare collected specimens for lab testing
• Maintain logs and documentation accurately
• Handle basic administrative and clerical tasks
• Travel between Manteo and Ocracoke as scheduled

Requirements

  What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
• Previous phlebotomy experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a clinical team setting
• Reliable transportation (including ferry travel to Ocracoke)
• Flexibility to occasionally work overtime
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
