The Opportunity We're seeking a Mid to Senior Level Associate to join one of our esteemed clients in their Labor & Employment Department in California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex employment law matters involving both litigation and advice and counseling, with a particular focus on California employment laws and regulations.
What You'll Do
Litigate Employment Law Cases: Represent employers in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge, wage and hour disputes, and class actions.
Advise and Counsel Clients: Provide strategic advice to employers on compliance with California employment laws and other workplace issues.
Draft and Advocate: Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and motions while building compelling legal arguments.
Collaborate and Build: Contribute to the growth of a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice, working alongside a team of dedicated professionals.
What You Bring to the Table
Experience:
At least five years of experience representing employers in employment law matters, with two years specific to California.
Strong background in wage and hour law, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful discharge actions, and class action litigation.
Education: J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Bar Admission: Admission to the California Bar is required.
Skills:
Superb writing, drafting, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex litigation and provide sound legal advice.
Mindset: Ambition, drive, and a team-oriented approach to client service and practice development.
Your Skillset
Employment Law Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of California-specific employment laws and regulations.
Litigation Experience: Strong track record of handling complex litigation, including wage and hour disputes and class actions.
Client-Centered Approach: Commitment to delivering exceptional legal solutions tailored to employer needs.
Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to work effectively within a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of a national practice.
