Labor & Employment Associate Attorney - Midlevel

Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a midlevel associate with two to five years of employment law experience to join its Labor & Employment practice group in the San Francisco office.  We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated passion for building a practice and a desire to work creatively with clients to find solutions.

• Candidates must have strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing skills, and experience in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions preferably with an AmLaw 100 law firm.  Ideal candidates will have federal clerkship experience and experience in single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits, handling wage and hour matters, and client counseling. 
• Experience in drafting the following preferred:
  • Summary judgment motions and other dispositive briefing
  • motions to compel arbitration
  • discovery requests and responses
  • oppositions to motions for class certification (including declaration gathering drives)
  • long-form settlement agreements in wage and hour class/collective actions
  • separation agreements, offer letters, arbitration agreements, and PIIAs
• Experience advising and counseling clients on employment law compliance including, policies, handbooks, leaves and accommodations, employee performance and discipline, hiring and terminations is also preferred.
• Experience with conducting labor due diligence on M&A deals is highly preferred.

Compensation range: $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
