Labor Associate Associate Attorney

Genova Burns LLC is seeking a talented and motivated Labor Attorney with 4 - 9 years of experience to join our Labor Law Practice Group.

Responsibilities:

• Represent management in labor relations matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practice proceedings.


• Advise employers on labor law compliance and workforce management strategies.


• Handle matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC), and other administrative agencies.


• Provide counsel on union organizing campaigns, contract administration, labor disputes, and workplace investigations.


• Draft and review collective bargaining agreements, labor-related policies, and legal memoranda.


• Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and participate in hearings, arbitrations, and negotiations.


• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop practical business-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school


• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New Jersey; New York admission a plus.


• 4-9 years of labor law experience, preferably representing management.


• Experience handling collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.


• Litigation experience a plus.


• Strong writing, research, negotiation and advocacy skills.


• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted client relations.


• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working effectively within a team environment.
