About the Role & Team

As a Labor Specialist, you will partner with and support the Disney Cruise Line Labor Management team. This team oversees staffing levels on all ships, ensures compliance for all Crew movement, and verifies documents required to join the ship and repatriate home.

The Labor Specialist reports to the Labor Manager. 

What You Will Do

• Analyze and take vital action for Crew changes maintaining compliance, viability, and adherence to company policies, and make appropriate updates, knowing when and what to bring up to leadership

• Audit reports and ensure systems are in sync with crew data

• Support the Labor Managers by handling the opening of shipboard requisitions, updating rotational schedules,  and assist with crew record updates and administration

• Monitor and process the Shipboard Scheduling Mailbox (Leader and Crew Requests) taking action where appropriate, escalating as needed

• Ensure Crew documents are valid and up to date maintaining compliance with Federal and Marine regulations

• Partner with Shoreside and Shipboard leaders to support operational needs

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ year of related work experience

• Advanced Excel, Smartsheet, SharePoint (for example: maintain sophisticated spreadsheets, experience with pivot tables, advance formulas, VLOOKUP)

• Critical and strategic problem solver

• Able to handle confidential information

• Maintain data quality by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

• Organization and documentation experience

• Effective communicator and relationship builder with internal and external partners

• Flexible schedule to support 7 day a week operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Disney Cruise Line knowledge and/or experience

• Workforce management experience

• Zendesk experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Celebration, FL is $24.60-$30.75 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
