Job Summary and Qualifications

You will be responsible for the activities, supervision, management and direction of the Laboratory Department in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals
You will assist the Director in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of the Department, and be responsible for leadership of Laboratory personnel and/ or students and functions as a resource for physicians, nursing staff and patients
You will be responsible for the delivery of professionalLaboratorycare and provides leadership to staff
You will require basic understanding of, and the ability to utilize, theLaboratoryprocess, develop and enforce guidelines of medical plan of care and departmental policies
What qualifications you will need:

A.S. degree or equivalent required; B.A./ B.S. preferred
Valid State of California license: Clinical Laboratory Scientist required3 years work experience in area of supervision required
3 years work experience in area of supervision required
1-3 years of progressive hospital/nursing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Evidence of experience which defines competency in Laboratory, hospital and healthcare management
Evidence of experience in successful administration and leadership of organizational management programs
