Several educational institutions also are nearby, including a Northern Arizona University satellite campus, Eastern Arizona College, and the Gila Institute for Technology. \n\n## What You Will Do\n\n * Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site. \n * May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations \n * Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques. \n * Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting. \n * Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment \n * Perform other duties as required \n\n\n\n## What You Bring To Freeport\n\n * Demonstrated knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment \n * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing \n * Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions\n\n\n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * High School diploma or GED\n * Experience with mathematic and/or numbers-based tasks\n * Experience with chemical sample preparation and/or analysis\n * Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions\n * Experience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasks\n * Strong organizational and documentation skills\n * Strong proficiency using MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer You\n\nThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $29.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
