Laborer - Environmental Remediation

Seeking a laborer with experience in environmental remediation construction projects such as clean-ups involving fire, flood, landfills, and other hazardous conditions. This position requires a safety-conscious individual who is capable of working in demanding environments.

Location: Ramona, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Pay: Prevailing wage

• Base Rate: $44.87/hour
• Fringe: $27.09/hour
• Total Hourly Rate: $71.96

• Follow all safety procedures during clean-up operations.
• Handle hazardous materials properly.
• Package, transport, and store waste.
• Assist with treatment and handling of waste at the landfill.
• Assist in site preparation and maintenance.
• Clean contaminated equipment.
• Maintain records and help manage the working face of the landfill.
• Operate equipment as needed.
• Perform general facility maintenance.
• Adhere to all waste disposal laws and safety regulations.
• Participate in emergency response activities.
• Identify hazardous wastes and use PPE properly.
• Maintain and inspect safety equipment.
• Perform tasks involving lifting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Required Certifications:
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher
  • Fit-for-duty classification
  • Must have strong balance, coordination, and physical endurance.
