Laborer Telecom Underground w/CDL - Phoenix, AZ

Position Overview

The Telecom Construction Laborer is responsible for performing general labor duties in support of telecommunications construction projects. This role supports aerial and underground crews and assists in all phases of construction activities. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor
• Assist with all phases of underground and/or aerial telecommunications construction
• Load, unload, transport, and stage construction materials and equipment
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist with digging, trenching, backfilling, and restoration activities
• Support placement and removal of conduit, fiber, and other infrastructure
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Assist with traffic control and site setup as needed
• Work collaboratively with crew members to meet production goals

Qualifications

• Prior construction or telecommunications experience preferred but not required
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Exposure to construction site conditions including noise, dust, and heavy equipment
