Job Summary
As a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) at Recovery Syndicate, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals and families affected by addiction. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based treatment, facilitating group and individual counseling sessions, and supporting clients in achieving and maintaining long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services using evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate educational and therapeutic groups focused on substance use, coping skills, relapse prevention, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with clients to set measurable goals and track progress throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR (KIPU) documentation in compliance with state and agency standards.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in addiction treatment.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Attend weekly case review meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) license in the state of Arizona (required).
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders is preferred.
- Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and maintain a nonjudgmental approach.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems is a plus.
