Description

 JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for greeting and seating of guests; taking messages off phone, making callbacks and taking reservations. 

REPORTS TO: Lakeview Manager 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

1. Greet and seat the guest with a smile, using their name whenever possible.
2. Answer phones, take messages off phone and take reservations.
3. Accurately maintain reservations throughout the shift using Open Table
4. Review Menus and make sure they are clean and presentable
5. Do the assigned side work.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Uniforms. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work steadily all day at tasks that require walking and standing for long periods of time. Must be able to complete daily assigned duties. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Schedule includes weekends and holidays. Workday may consist of three meals a day. Work takes place in the Lakeview Dining Room. 

HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED: Some cleaning chemicals and agents may be hazardous if improperly used or if in contact with skin, eyes, or clothing occurs. May come in contact with hot items that may burn if not using proper protection. May come in contact with slippery or wet floors in certain areas.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Good guest relations’ skills. Good communication and organization skills

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma

PRIOR EXPERIENCE: None required.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read, write, and understand and speak the English language.

PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS: Congeniality, self-motivated, good people skills, strong ability to adapt and accept changes

SCHEDULE: Holidays and weekends are required. Part-time position available
