Lakota Solutions - Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Lakota Solutions LLC. is currently seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team to support a maintenance contract in Washington State, Puget Sound area. The Motor Vehicle Maintenance Technician will perform planned maintenance, and minor to major repairs.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance.
• Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
• Troubleshoot vehicle problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
• Working knowledge of brake systems and tire/wheel changes.
• Ability to work on gas and diesel systems.
• Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/ or order replacements for major repairs.
• Perform safety inspections prior to being released back to the work area.
• Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.
• Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.
• Competent to complete service documents and logs for preventive maintenance tasks.
• Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.

Requirements

Candidate required Experience

• (2) Two or more years' experience in related field including maintenance of various vehicles.
• Manufacturing, automotive, military or recent trade school graduates with applied skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Must be a US Citizen and maintain eligibility for a Common Access Card (CAC).
