Job Description - Land Analyst I

Land Analyst I
Compensation $29.12 - $36.15/hr
Location Midland, TX
Schedule 5/2 (8 hour days)

Position Overview
The Land Analyst I supports Land Asset Teams in the acquisition and maintenance of oil and gas leases and Exploration & Production (E&P) contracts. This role focuses on research, reporting, and detailed data analysis to ensure accurate working interest and revenue calculations.

Key Accountabilities

Assist Land Asset Teams with acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and E&P contracts
Research and analyze leases and contracts
Determine working interest (WI) and net revenue interest (NRI) for new wells, workovers, and recompletions
Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with Operations, Development, OBO, and Legal teams
Generate reports using Quorum Land System and Business Objects
Gather and analyze data related to contract and lease obligations

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant land, oil & gas, or E&P experience
Intermediate-level competency with progression toward full proficiency
General understanding of land and contract analysis principles
Experience interpreting lease terms and contract provisions
Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions
Capable of making decisions within well-defined guidelines
