Job Description - Land Development Administrator


Burkentine is growing and as a result we are looking for a Land Development Administrator to join our dynamic Land Development team. The Land Development Administrator is responsible for providing coordination of all phases of land acquisition, due diligence, entitlements sitework and development for all phases of single family, multi-family, and commercial projects to the organization’s Land Development Division. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Generate, manage, and coordinate Land Development Entitlement and Sitework project To Do List (TDL). The TDL shall be updated daily to reflect activity related to acquisitions, entitlements, and all third-party actions for Director and Executive Review. 
  • Coordinate with engineering partners in design, review, plan publishing, and ongoing management to ensure timely delivery of plans, permits and applications.
  • Creation, maintenance and communication of scope of work for engineers, contractors and subcontracts and ongoing review of all deliverables to ensure alignment with organization’s preconstruction and construction requisites.
  • Attend meetings with engineers, contractors, subcontractors and county/state agencies (including county conservation districts, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation Units, etc. involving the organization’s development plans).
  • Delivery of feasibility studies for all single-family, multi-family and commercial projects, including but not limited to site review, zoning review, title report procurement and review, environmental review including the procurement of Phase 1 and if necessary, Phase 2 reports via a qualified engineer, geotechnical review including procurement and delivery of geotech reports, and utility review to determine availability, capacity and conveyance.
  • Maintenance of the municipal, county and state fee schedule to assist with pro forma development of land development projects.
  • Document management, including but not limited to project schedule worksheet, due diligence reminders, project and permit expiration and deadlines, Operation and Management Agreement tracker, Co-Permittee Agreement worksheet, General Project worksheet, Fee Schedule worksheet, Engineer and Utility Scope of Work checklist, and any and all documents to be designed or created in the future.
  • Database management of all land development projects.

Requirements

 Qualified Candidates will have: 

  • 1-3 years of prior experience in a similar role.
  • A High School diploma is required, Bachelor's degree is related field preferred.
  • An understanding of land development processes and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate with third-party professionals regarding technical issues.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work with little supervision.
  •  Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment. 
  • Strong computer skills, specifically with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
