A reputable, employee-owned civil engineering firm is looking for an experienced Land Development Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team. If you're passionate about smart site design and want to help shape the places where people live, learn, and workthis is your chance.

About the Role

You'll lead the technical aspects of land development projects, working alongside architects, planners, developers, and contractors. Projects include everything from K12 campuses to institutional and commercial developments. This role reports directly to the Director of Land Development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, utility layouts, and stormwater designs
• Create engineering drawings, reports, and permit applications
• Guide projects through zoning reviews and municipal approvals
• Visit project sites to monitor construction progress and quality
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Coordinate with clients and design consultants

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in civil/site development
• 3+ years specifically in land development projects
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office tools
• Strong communication skills and an eye for detail
• Familiarity with municipal and agency permitting processes
• Bonus: Experience working on school or institutional site projects
