Our projects shape communities—and we believe in building a culture where team members grow, contribute, and thrive.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Field Technician to join our growing Survey Team. This role supports boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS land surveys using cutting-edge field equipment and software. You’ll work on a variety of projects, both in the field and in close collaboration with Survey Crew Chiefs, licensed surveyors, and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with data collection and field measurements for a wide range of survey projects

  • Set up and operate survey instruments including GPS, total stations, and digital levels

  • Maintain accurate field notes and documentation for daily field activities

  • Perform construction staking, boundary retracement, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys

  • Load and unload survey equipment and manage field supplies

  • Follow safety procedures and represent CAGE professionally on job sites

  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure quality and accuracy of work

  • Assist with equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or coursework in surveying, civil engineering, or related field is a plus

  • 0–3 years of field survey experience (we’re happy to train the right person!)

  • Familiarity with survey equipment and field procedures preferred

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

  • Must be able to travel to job sites across the region

Why CAGE:

  • Collaborative team environment with opportunities to grow

  • Exposure to a wide variety of project types

  • Field experience that builds toward professional licensure

  • Competitive compensation and benefits

  • Bonus program, professional development support, and company events that bring our teams together
