L&DR Senior National Security Advisor (Washington, DC)

The Washington, DC office of Clifford Chance is seeking a Senior National Security Advisor to work with the CFIUS and Outbound Investment Regulations (OIR) team within our Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.

The ideal applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited US law school;
• High academic achievement;
• 10-15 years of national security experience including with the Department of Defense (DOD) and with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS).
• Experience consulting or advising on transactions (M&A) and providing high-level strategic CFIUS advice to clients with the goal of mitigating the national security risks posed by investment transactions.
• Strong interest in the subject area, entrepreneurial and a team-player;
• Admitted to (or possessing the ability to waive into) the Washington, DC Bar.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $225K-$250k. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
