The Springs Resort and Spa is seeking a dependable and hardworking Landscape Assistant to help maintain and enhance the property’s outdoor spaces through the months of June through October. This role involves assisting with landscaping tasks, ensuring the grounds remain attractive, clean, and safe for guests and staff. Where You Can Make an Impact:

• Assist with planting, pruning, mowing, weeding, and general upkeep of the property’s landscaping.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of outdoor areas, including walkways, gardens, and recreational spaces.
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
• Assist in the installation and care of seasonal plants, trees, and flowers.
• Apply mulch, fertilizer, and other materials to promote healthy plant growth.
• Monitor and address irrigation needs, ensuring proper water distribution to landscaped areas.
• Remove debris, trash, and hazards from outdoor areas to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with small-scale construction or repair projects related to landscaping.
• Support the landscaping team with special projects, such as holiday or event setups.
• Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of the team.

Requirements

Education/Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Prior experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and tools is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the landscaping team.
• Flexibility to handle changing tasks and priorities as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
