Landscape Crew Lead

Sunrise Landscape is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Landscape Crew Lead with a strong focus on enhancement projects. This role involves actively participating in and leading a crew to successfully execute diverse landscape installation projects. You'll be responsible for ensuring top-quality workmanship, meeting project timelines, and contributing to outstanding client satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, deep horticultural knowledge, and hands-on expertise in various landscape installation tasks.

• Lead and actively participate in the installation of diverse landscape enhancement projects, including but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Planting: Trees, shrubs, flowers, and groundcover
  
  
  • Hardscape: Patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces
  
  
  • Irrigation: Installing and modifying new irrigation systems
  
  
  • Site Preparation: Mulching, soil amendment, and grading
  
  
  • Turf: Sod installation and renovation
  
  
  • Specialty Features: Water features and outdoor lighting installation
  
  
  
  


• Accurately read and interpret landscape plans and specifications to ensure precise execution.


• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


• Communicate effectively with project managers, other team leads, and occasionally clients regarding project status and needs.


• Manage and train crew members, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a positive team environment.


• Safely operate and maintain a variety of landscape equipment, including skid steers, excavators, trenchers, and various power tools.


• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.


• Track and report project progress, material usage, and labor hours accurately.


• Resolve any on-site issues or challenges promptly and effectively to minimize delays.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscape installation.


• Proven experience leading and supervising landscape crews.


• Strong knowledge of plant material, industry-standard installation techniques, and landscape construction practices.


• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications.


• Proficiency in operating various landscape equipment (e.g., skid steers, excavators, trenchers, power tools).


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and keen attention to detail.


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


• Ability to pass a drug test.


• Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
