Landscape - Crew Member

About the Job:
Site Location: Crew members check in at our yard located off Mission Gorge Rd
Hours: 6:00AM-2:30PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour
**** Must have at minimum, 6 months of landscape experience

The Crew Member is an entry-level position and will perform various tasks involving physical labor. Some duties include raking, trash clean-up, shrub and plant care, weeding, trimming and pruning, and other routine maintenance duties. This position may work in various weather conditions and microclimates. Acts as a professional while working on client properties

Responsibilities and Job Duties (including but not limited to):

• Maintain the lawns and garden
• Performing shrub and plant care maintenance duties
• General weeding, trimming, and pruning
• Trained at operating all machines needed to perform job duties
• Reports to assigned crew leader before working each day for direction
• Other duties not mentioned or may be assigned by the crew leader.
• Create and refurbish outdoor spaces
• Dig trenches and install drainage
• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and trash
• Loading and unloading materials
• Operate large powered machinery and equipment
• Perform general ground keeping duties
• Heavy lifting is often necessary
• Other duties assigned per supervisor and crew leader

Skills Required:

• 6 months + of landscape experience, preferably in commercial properties.
• Understanding common plants, shrubs, and trees, as well as their basic care.
• Ability to use hand tools (rakes, shovels, pruners) and basic power tools (mowers, blowers)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with crew members.
• Punctuality and dependability in reporting to work and completing tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, and operate equipment for extended periods.
