Landscape Enhancement Manager



AAA Landscape, An Underwood Brothers Co. is pleased to announce an outstanding opportunity for the right individual to join our team of dedicated professionals and develop our Enhancement Division.


AAA Landscape is a quality commercial service provider of Landscape Maintenance, Enhancement, Construction, Design-Build, Arbor Care, and Pest Management. Our company has provided service for over 45 years in Arizona with 100% local ownership and management. We are fiscally sound and want to grow our business with your help.


The Enhancement Manager (EM) is responsible for the Enhancement Division at AAA Landscape. This person will constantly interact with the Branch Manager, Property Managers, Account Managers, and homeowners we serve. The EM is a hybrid position that involves sales of Enhancements, oversight of the Enhancement teams in the field, and design work when needed. The Individual must have a passion for creating and improving commercial landscapes. Communication with clients is required on a daily basis. The EM is responsible for managing a team of 6-12 team members.


Position Overview:


The Landscape Enhancement Manager is a part of the Leadership Team at AAA Landscape and oversees all Enhancement functions:



  • Position reports directly to the Branch Manager

  • Works with minimal supervision and leads a team of 6-12 people in an efficient and productive manner

  • Enhancements typically include hardscapes, paver design and installation, Irrigation, plant replacements, clean-ups, entryway refurbs, decorative granite installs, lighting, erosion, and riprap.

  • Hires, trains, and promotes the development of Enhancement team members in the best practices of installation and company standards

  • Proficient and daily use of computer technology, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Conversational Spanish and the ability to communicate details are preferred

  • Sets team goals for specific periods of the day and meets to discuss specific plans to accomplish team goals while on-site

  • Manages team members, sub-contractors, equipment, and material with minimal supervision to accomplish production schedules within established budget hours

  • Reads installation plans, parts lists, and other instructions. Coordinates order of plants and materials with support from the Enhancement Contract Administrator. Coordinates deliveries of plants and materials with support from the Enhancement Contract Administrator. Communicates equipment needs for rental with the Enhancement Contract Administrator.

  • Observe and enforce safety procedures and company policies.

  • Effectively partner with/ communicate with other departments – interdepartmental communication

  • Create Schedule and routing of crews

  • Analyze discrepancies between the estimated cost and the actual cost

  • Prepare reports detailing all the costs going into a project

  • Profit and loss responsibility and manage efficiencies


JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • A minimum of 5 years of project enhancement, estimation, and management experience.

  • Completion of a four-year degree in Construction Management or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in the green industry.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Strong knowledge of estimating/project management in the landscape industry

  • The candidate must be able to listen to client concerns, embrace the issues, and report back to an owner with the concerns and possibly some suggestions on proper resolution.

  • Experience in managing up to 3 direct reports

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications. Conversational Spanish is preferred.

  • Proficient with the use of business technology and software applications.

  • Self-motivated individual who sets his/her own personal and professional goals.

  • High level of accountability for results to ensure deliverables are met.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable.

  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
