Landscape Lead Hand

About the Role 

From The Ground Up is hiring a Landscape Lead Hand to maintain residential and commercial properties across the greater Owatonna area. This is a hands-on outdoor job where you will be working with softscapes to keep properties clean and professional. 

No experience? We will train. Have experience? You will move up faster. 

What You Will Do 

• Perform basic landscaping tasks (mulching, trimming, bed maintenance) 

• Work with your crew to complete jobs efficiently 

• Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites 

This is active, physical work — you will be outdoors and moving all day. 

Schedule & Work Expectations 

8-12 hour days roughly April–November

We strive for work-life balance with 4 day work weeks as often as possible

Opportunity for snow removal for year-round work 

What We Are Looking For 

• 2+ years of experience in landscaping preferred


• Reliable and punctual 


• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record


• Ages 18+


• Able to obtain a DOT card (clean drug test and good health)


• Able to work outdoors 8–12 hours per day 

• Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly 

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn 

• Able to work as part of a team 

Experience with lawn care or outdoor work is a plus, but not . 

Pay & Benefits 

• $20–28 per hour based on experience 

• Health insurance with HSA (full-time employees) 

• Up to 48 hours PTO (increases with tenure)
