Landscape Maintenance Sales Estimator

Are you detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and a whiz with putting all the pieces together to create solid information for your sales team to offer clients? Villani Landshapers is looking to add a landscape maintenance sales estimator who passion for details is only matched by their dedication to their internal and external clients. 

The Branch Sales Estimator is responsible for producing accurate and timely proposals for the branch sales team, ensuring that the sales team will be able to present and win an above-average percentage of the jobs it proposes. The Estimator stays up-to-date on product, supply and sub-contractor prices, as well as the company’s operating production capabilities in order to produce accurate proposals. We are happy to train the right candidate who is a highly organized, detail-oriented, star communicator.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Review proposal specifications submitted by salesperson through the Client Relationship Management system
• If necessary, meet with salesperson and/or client for clarification
• Visually inspect potential job sites, performing on-site measurements if required to estimate the labor and equipment required to efficiently service the property
• Gather quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Work with Project and Operations Managers and branch buyers to answer any questions about product
• Compute cost proposal by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements
• Build proposal in current bidding software
• Use CRM to submit accurate proposals to salesperson in a timely manner
• Perform analysis on previous proposals to determine accuracy and opportunities for improvement
• Understand and use appropriate estimating principles in creating proposals

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous field experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with landscaping best practices preferred but not required
• Ability to read site plans
• Basic math proficiency to accurately establish a finalized estimate
• Attention to detail
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish proficiency in estimating software, CRM, and Microsoft Office environment
