Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our properties. With a passion for gardening and landscaping, the ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Pest and Weed Control: Apply pesticides and herbicides to manage pests and weeds in landscape beds and areas.


• Tool and Equipment Usage: Operate miscellaneous hand tools and small equipment for landscaping tasks.


• Project Assistance: Contribute to various landscaping projects as needed.


• Plant Care: Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping elements around the clubhouse and golf course.


• Pruning and Trimming: Prune and trim trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and appearance.


• Mulching: Apply mulch and pine straw to flower beds and around trees.


• Seasonal Preparation: Prepare and clean up landscaping areas for seasonal changes.


• Debris Removal: Remove debris and fallen leaves from landscaped areas to maintain cleanliness.


• Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to identify and address issues.


• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment and report any broken equipment to mechanics.


• Shop Upkeep: Regularly clean and maintain shop grounds and equipment.


• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.


• Communication: Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors.


• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and pesticide applications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Physical Activity: Ability to engage in activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.


• Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.


• Terrain Navigation: Ability to navigate rough and uneven terrain.


• Weather Conditions: Ability to work in hot, muggy conditions and inclement weather as needed.


• Physical Capability: Must be physically able to perform the duties outlined above and follow written and verbal instructions.
