 Route Assistant This person reports directly to the Area Rose Service Manager Witherspoon Rose Culture Mission Statement “To enhance the lives of others through the outstanding care of one of God’s finest creations, the rose.” Service Vision Statement To produce an abundance of top quality roses for the delight of our customers by providing outstanding personal and professional care of rose gardens that are beautiful, well groomed, healthy and thriving. Driver’s license and the ability to operate Witherspoon vehicles as needed. • Assist the Route leader to make sure truck is ready to go in the morning (clean, gassed, and equipped with tools and materials). During spray season, makes sure tank has water; sprayer motor has gas and oil. • Assist the Route leader in loading materials for whatever service is being performed for example: Fertilizer, mulch, soil mix, irrigation, bone meal etc. • Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more. • Takes direction from Route Leader to service each customer’s garden. • Recommends replacement of roses to Route Leader as needed. • Seeks to continuously increase knowledge of rose care through available educational resources including attending staff meetings to improve rose care practices and better serve our customers. • Reports completion of all work to supervisor. • Prepares new gardens and assists in pulling bushes for planting. • Uses timely wisely and helps to see that others do so also. • Follows all practices set up by management to facilitate good communication within the staff and provide excellent service to the customer.
