Position Summary:

Halter is seeking a motivated Landscaping & Lawn Fertilizer Technician to join our field operations. This is a hybrid role, with time split between our Landscaping division and our Lawn Care Fertilization program. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and is interested in developing technical skills in turf health, fertilization, and landscape maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Landscaping Responsibilities:

• Perform routine landscape maintenance including  trimming, edging, and site cleanup


• Assist with general landscaping tasks such as mulching, planting, bed maintenance, and seasonal services


• Safely operate lawn and landscape equipment


• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites


• Follow company quality standards and safety procedures
  
  

Lawn Fertilization & Turf Care Responsibilities:

• Apply lawn fertilization, weed control, and turf care treatments according to company programs and training


• Identify basic turf health issues, weeds, insects, and disease conditions and report findings to supervisors


• Safely handle, mix, and apply fertilizers and lawn care products in compliance with regulations and company standards


• Maintain accurate service records and treatment documentation


• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of fertilization and spray equipment


• Interact professionally with customers when performing lawn care services

General Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with crew leaders and team members


• Communicate job progress, concerns, and equipment needs


• Represent Halter professionally on all job sites


• Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and PPE requirements
  
  

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation


• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather conditions


• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds


• Interest in lawn care, turf management, and landscape maintenanceAbility to follow directions and work well within a team


• Pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain certification (company-supported)


• Mechanical aptitude and experience with spray or application equipment is a plus
