Location: NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, VA

Job Summary:
This position ensures compliance with MS4, VPDES, and HRSD permits through inspections, sampling, reporting, and regulatory coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and implement stormwater and wastewater permits and plans
• Conduct site inspections, sampling, and corrective actions
• Prepare permit applications, reports, and regulatory documentation
• Maintain compliance with TMDL, SWPPP, and IDDE requirements
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
• Provide training and public outreach per MS4 requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possess at least 4 years of relevant experience in stormwater and wastewater management. 
• Well-versed in regulations and best practices for managing oversight of stormwater and wastewater systems. 
• Experience in determining permit applicability, reviewing comprehensive plans, conducting inspections, implementing corrective actions, and preparing reports, permit documentation, and applications for regulatory agencies. 
• Experience coordinating sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with permit conditions. 
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Certifications Preferred:

• Virginia DEQ ESC/SWM Inspector or Plan Reviewer (dual certification accepted)
• Familiarity with HRSD permit compliance and sampling protocols
