POSITION:              MARKETING COORDINATOR

REPORTS TO:         ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

SALARY RANGE:  Low $50’s annually, depending on education, qualifications, and

experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, is responsible for performing professional marketing duties in support of the strategic marketing/communications plan of Lanier Technical College.

Major Duties:

• Assists with creating, developing and implementing media-related marketing plans;
• Assists in creating communication copywriting;
• Creates media messages and advertising;
• Assists with developing marketing plans that increase awareness of the College’s brand, program offerings, and events;
• Assists with evaluating the effectiveness of marketing strategies used in the College’s marketing plan;
• Designs and produces a wide variety of printed/digital materials;
• Designs and creates branding campaigns, which include using graphic design and photography to create advertisements;
• Assists with social media presence for the College by collaborating with academic programs and College personnel;
• Create content to update the College’s website with latest news, photos and videos;
• Creates professional-quality photos and or videos of the College’s programs of study, events, conferences and student activities;
• Other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Associate’s degree *and* Two (2) years of work-related experience *OR* a Bachelor’s degree *and* One (1) year of work-related experience 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of advertising and marketing principles/concepts;
• Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software/equipment;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Effective skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public;
• Effective decision making and problem-solving skills;Willingness to be a part of a team; 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to competencies & minimum qualifications):

• More than two years of work-related marketing experience;
• Experience with the latest version of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro;
• Experience with the latest version of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Experience in creating professional branding campaigns to include numerous forms of media both print and digital;
• Experience in working with the general public and or college students to create marketing materials;
• Experience with photography/videography equipment;
