What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Large/wide format operator to join our printing team. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Large/wide format printers and related equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. You’ll be organized and great at prioritizing, organizing, and planning orders to see each job through completion and be able to meet deadlines. You’ll play a pivotal role in Ultimax’s continued growth and success!
Day to day you will:
- Run 2 flatbed and 1 Roll to Roll printers, including setting up and calibrating according to job specifications.
- Monitor print jobs to ensure quality and consistency throughout the production process.
- Maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines, and meet deadlines
- Load and unload materials, such as vinyl, paper, and fabric, into the printing equipment.
- Observe machines in operation and make adjustments as needed
- Identify workable production solutions when troubleshooting
- Collaborate with graphic designers and production team members to ensure accurate color matching and print quality.
- Maintain inventory of printing supplies and materials, and reorder as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of production activities, including job details and materials used.
- Assist with other production tasks and projects as needed.
Your Background:
To be successful in this role you likely have:
- Previous experience operating wide format printers or similar printing equipment
- Knowledge of printing technologies, including inkjet and UV printing, and RIP software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- High school diploma or higher
