Job Details:

Safe Life Defense is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laser Helper to support our Laser Operating team. This position assists in preparing materials, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring efficient workflow to meet production goals while maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and eager to grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup and operation of laser cutting machines (e.g., loading materials, positioning workpieces, unloading finished material)
  


• Load raw materials onto the laser bed and unload finished parts


• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
  


• Remove scrap material and perform general machine clean-up


• Help maintain equipment by performing basic preventative maintenance tasks


• Organize and label cut parts for the next phase of production


• Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE


• Communicate effectively with the Laser Operator and other team members


• Keep work area clean and organized
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


• Ability to lift 50-65lbs on a regular basis
