Laser Marking Technician - 2nd Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the set up and operation of various laser marking machines in the department.


• Perform laser marking on standard production and custom orders.


• Perform visual and dimensional inspection of all laser markings/etchings.


• Program and determine fixturing needs for new and custom products.


• Work with Engineering to assist with programming and fixturing needs, as required.


• Maintain fixture storage controls.


• Perform routine maintenance activities for equipment as per work instructions.


• Detect and report discrepancies or questionable conditions to the Department Supervisor.


• Assist with training of new team members and operators.


• Adhere to company safety requirements.


• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.


• Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with Seabrook Quality System procedures.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience with laser marking technologies preferable.


• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.


• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.


• Experienced in use of caliper, OC and gaging for dimensional inspection.


• High level of attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

• Light to moderate physical exertion required


• Lifting/carrying Maximum lbs.: 50


• Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility
