Laser Operator /Sheetmetal

Position: Laser Operator /Sheetmetal      Shift: 1st                Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Type: Full Time          Mode: Direct Placement Pay Range:$25-28    Industry: Manufacturing 

Our client is looking for a responsible Laser Operator /Sheetmetal.  This is a Direct placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need a High School Diploma or GED along with 2-3 years of sheet metal experience. 

Principle Duties  

Set up and operate bending, laser cutting, and punching machines.  

Assist in debugging operating or programming problems with high laser cut quality parts Work / inspect parts according to blueprints Work and be familiar with measuring tools (Calipers, Protractors, Tape measures, etc.) 

Assist in CNC areas operational activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables Work independently with minimum supervision Able to lift up to 70lbs Maintain CNC machines, area and other tools in good condition by performing 5S 

Requirements 

High school diploma or equivalent 

Ability to lift heavy materials and tools Must be able to read and interpret blueprints 

Excellent math skills preferred 2-3 years of sheet metal experience Knowledge of building code OSHA certification 

Must be able to work mostly independently with minimum supervisor must be able to use and handle tools from measuring tools to operating an overhead crane/forklift
