Laser Operator/Manufacturing Tech I

Description

The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the Foba Laser machine to precision-cut, engrave, or mark medical device components. This role ensures adherence to strict quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols while performing laser operations. The operator will set up and calibrate the laser equipment, monitor the production process, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct routine maintenance. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial to ensuring that all medical devices meet the necessary specifications and are produced efficiently. Additionally, the role requires documentation of processes and quality control checks to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

Day to day operations of secondary manufacturing workflows  

Continuous use of ERP system –(Epicor)  

General maintenance and housekeeping of manufacturing space 

Duties include the operation of any of the following workstations: 

Laser Marking

Ice Blasting  

Vapor Degreasing 

Anodizing 

Passivation 

Sodium Bicarbonate Blasting 

Glass Bead Blasting  

Manual Deburring 

Tantalum Pin Placement  

Epoxy Paint 

QC Inspection 

Packaging and Labelling 

Preferred Qualifications 

Manufacturing Experience 

Vocational/Technical education 

Requirements 

• GED or high school equivalency 
• Basic understanding of Manufacturing  
• Basic computer skills 
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time 
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. 
• Communication skills both written and verbal 
• Attention to detail
